In this picture we can see the reality of many people who currently live under the great weight of poverty. In this specific case, the image explains the direct existing relationship between the industrial pollution produced by the human being and the poverty that creates an unequal society.

In the foreground two children can be seen, who in my opinion are brothers. I believe that the girl on the right is the older sister because she is the taller one, her face isn’t seen but it can be appreciated that she has two braids held, she is wearing a white T-shirt, white pants and a brown belt. I think she does not wear shoes and she carries a rather large bag as big as her body, which may be to pick up objects from the trash. The little brother seems to be wearing a red jumpsuit that covers his entire body and is held by a dirty white cloth rope, he also carries a bag just like his sister, but unlike her he does wear shoes.

On top of the rubbish mountain placed in front of the children, two quite striking contrasts can be seen: at first sight you can see an excavator that is removing and moving the garbage, but on the right hand side, a farmer with several cows can be appreciated. The farmer takes care of them, and he also carries a bag just like the two brothers.

Finally, you can see that there are thousands of mountains of garbage which cover almost the entire background, except of a group of city skyscrapers that appear on the left hand side. It seems that both brothers are heading to the skycrapers while trying to survive in this jungle of trash.

We see pollution and poverty as two different facts but normally they go hand by hand. Countries like India or China with much higher pollution also have a high amount of population living on poverty and therefore, the quality of life is not good.

These problems have to be solved as soon as possible, but they have to be done from the highest spheres of power of the worlds,  because if not the future of all these people will not change.
